Montreal Girls Hockey Challenge
At the end of May, TGHA took a great group of current and former players to the Montreal Girls Hockey Challenge, which featured teams from across Eastern Canada and the US. Despite facing three of the top teams in the twelve-team 15U Tier II division, the girls hung in tough, with a goals against average of only 2.00 for the tournament, including a 2-0 lose to the eventual champions, the Nova Scotia Snipers. The tournament ended on a high note with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Quebec Selects.
It was a fun and memorable weekend and a successful foray into spring hockey. TGHA hopes to take more teams to tournaments next spring!
